Improve your energy on the ski slopes.
I notice a lot of skiers lack good energy on the slopes.
Long before you come skiing ensure you are eating an excellent diet.
Good complex carbohydrates and a nutrient rich diet is essential for very good skiing energy. Your energy requirements can increase upto ten to twenty times more than your resting needs when skiing.
You should get your nutrients from a good mix of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and water.
What you fuel your body with will reflect greatly on your performance.
Consider eating a good breakfast before you ski including fresh fruit, eggs, wholemeal bread, porridge, bananas, orange juice and water, don't leave your chalet dehydrated and hungry.
On the ski slopes take plenty of energy, pack dried fruit, an apple, maybe a bit of dark chocolate for a 'wee' treat. Stop and take plenty of water or top up as you go.
Lunch could consist of hot soup, salad and fresh fruit if you don't want to over eat, or maybe a good plate of Spaghetti and a generous mixed salad.
Keep up your quality intake of food. Above all, eat less processed foods in your diet.
Take plenty of time to top up your water levels.
Energetic skiing,
