Martin Mckay is an independent British ski coach in Val d'Isere France. Martin has developed an unrivalled reputation for helping skiers grasp the essentials in ski technique, mental awareness and physical harmony when descending the slopes from on piste to deep off piste snow.
One of the worlds most dedicated ski teachers,
Martin is a member of the prestigious ski instructors organisation, B.A.S.I.
and international organisation I.S.I.A. Martin has passed the Test de Capacite
and holds the French equivalence B.E.E.S 1er Degree Ski Alpine allowing
Martin the right of establishment as a ski teacher in the worlds best
skiing country - France. To date Martin has been teaching and guiding
skiing for over 15 years.
Martin is an ex alpine and freestyle ski competitor, having raced as a junior and young adult across europe, he decided to make Val d'Isere his winter home where he now coaches full time.
Martin is in keen international demand as a teacher of skiing as well as off piste guiding and coaching in Valdisere. He has featured in extreme ski video films, competitions and as an action model in the world's best skiing playground - France.
Working both with technical
ski instruction for skiers of all levels as well as specialising in off piste
instruction and guiding, where the wonderful skiing area of l'espace killy
is at Martins disposal.
With a detailed knowledge of the area, the off
piste is there to be discovered and make fresh tracks. From December to
the end of April, Martin will take your breath away with his detailed
knowledge of the area, finding great snow throughout the season.
The development of confidence in skiers at all levels is an essential part of Martins teaching Philosophy. Safety, enjoyment and learning in all skiing lessons is key.
